Best Soccer Jerseys of 2022
With so many great options, it’s hard to find the best soccer jerseys of 2022. Clubs have gotten more inventive over the years with creative designs. These five clubs went above and beyond, making beautiful kits.
Some of these clubs decided to stick with tradition, while others opted to try something completely new. One thing they all have in common is a clean and eye catching design.
AC Milan Home
The black and red stripes of AC Milan have been an iconic feature of world football for decades. For the 2021/2022 season, Puma has opted to to redesign the classic kit. Instead of uniform vertical stripes across the body, the kit features one wide strip in the middle followed by more narrow strips on the outside. This gives the the jersey a more modern and streamlined look.
Chelsea Home
Chelsea have long been known to have simple home kit. However, Nike have bucked the trend and gone for something a bit more intricate. The Chelsea home kit looks more like a modern art project rather than your average jersey. The design features a unique combination of checkerboards and geometric spirals. Although not for everyone, this is one of the more bold and standout jerseys of the year.
Roma Home
Sometimes, simple is best. This was the idea behind Roma’s 2021/2022 Home kit. The kit contrasts the club colors of red and gold in an incredibly tasteful way. New Balance have added crisp accents for the logo and sponsor while keeping the rest of the kit relatively basic. If you’re not into the flashier styles, this may be the perfect choice for you.
Manchester United Away
Manchester United will be sporting a more retro look at away games this season. Adidas has created a kit that is reminiscent of United’s popular 1990 jersey, rocking a similar color scheme. Although this kit is sporting a decades old design, it will have all the comfort and feel of a modern adidas jersey. This is definitely one of my favorites from this season.
Arsenal Third
Following in the steps of United’s jersey, Arsenal will also be rocking a vintage kit this season. The gunners’ third kit is another example of adidas pulling from classic jerseys of years past. The blue and black diagonal stripes contrast the white embroidery of the jersey, while the classic Arsenal logo sits in the back drop. Fans looking for a fresh new design should definitely give this one a try.
